The Grimaud placemat is made up of two pieces that will transform your table and amaze your guests. The small piece of leather on the right can hold cutlery, a napkin or both. Placed horizontally above the large set, you can choose to arrange the glasses there. The Grimaud leather placemat contributes to our experience with catering professionals for over 25 years. Double-thread topstitching ensures a meticulous finish. It is stain-resistant. A damp sponge is the best way to maintain it, even for daily use, as many restaurants do. Leather placemats are handmade, so we can also produce customized sets.
It’s in a spirit of authenticity and quality that, since 1998, Midipy has been offering a range of handmade leather goods, 100% made in France in our workshops in the Tarn region, where leatherwork and saddlery have been passed down from generation to generation. In those places where handcrafts have attained the heights of nobility, our selection of the finest leathers are pleasing to the most delicate touch. Vegetable tanning allows this leather to take on the patina of time and retain its natural feel. Using carefully tanned leather, craftsmen cut, assemble and sew leather components by hand. The two-piece Grimaud placemat matches the rest of MIDIPY’s genuine leather collection for the table, which includes Gassin placemats, Gordes coasters and Bonnieux cutlery trays. Care As a natural material, our leather requires care and maintenance to last you over time.
Here are a few tips to preserve its quality and aesthetics: Clean your item with a damp sponge and make sure it’s dry before storing (flower side: treated, flesh side: no moisture) Don’t put your product in the dishwasher or soak it in soapy water Avoid placing hot utensils on your items Sets are treated (graining) against stains of various origins (wine, alcohol, sauces, coffee etc.).
